SOLO TOMORROW!!

Tomorrow night at 696 from 6-9pm will be my first solo show. details in the previous post.
So busy, no sleep, terrified! but so so glad i had this chance to sit down and paint and put them all together in one room :)

On another more awesome note, Jeff Soto was in Melbourne for semi permanent and did a book signing along with Tara McPherson. I gathered up some pennies to go and buy his book to sign and he didn't just sign it, he drew an awesome lil pic too! I was so nervous and sleep deprived I didn't really say much, but he seemed like a pretty laid back guy, which makes for a nice change. Unfortunately i didn't have enough cash to get something from Tara too... kickin myself for that :( But it was really good to see successful artists who aren't jerks...really inspired me

Telos- solo show

gee i neglect this thing, I dont think anyone even reads it now. But oh wells!

I have a small solo show in a month at the lovely 696 in Melbourne. My first ever and Im about to die of nerves! Im in Melbourne, but have been too busy to enjoy it :( BUT Im finally getting some painting done.

Bellow is the flyer. I would love for you all to come. I dont know anyone in Melbourne and am terrified there will be only me and the crickets ;) So come along for a few drinks, to talk or not talk and look and some pretty pictures :D

The opening night is October thursday 15 from 6-9pm. The show runs 14-28 october.


It will be a series of Environmentally concious works exploring the idea of Telos (which is the end purpose of each thing) in relation to how humans interact with the environment. All the works are done on either reclaimed timber or timber sourced from renewable sources. Also 5% of sale will be going to the Wilderness society.

MOVING!!!

Sort of....

Im going to Melbourne in what will likely be a temporary move, to see if i like it and if things work out. And if i dont like it or if things dont go to plan or even if something else happens (travel always bekons) then i move on.

But from now till at least the end of the year I will be a Melbournite and i can at least claim to have realised ONE of my meager highschool wishes. Even if its only for a few months ;)

I will also be having a solo show at 696, 14th to 28th oct. More info and paintings to come :)
